Love Live and the Two-Sided Christmas

I’m writing this while the first snow is falling.  It reminds me that the holiday season is upon us.  I really don’t like winter; dry air, cold temperatures, and overall miserable environment sucks, especially when you have eczema.  The dry air makes my dry skin even worse, and it’s awful.  However, I love the holiday season. I think the only reason why the holiday season exists, with all its jolliness and joy, is to combat the fact that winter is awful.  Anyways, being the Love Live trash I am, I’m writing a Love Live oriented Christmas post.  Continue reading “Love Live and the Two-Sided Christmas”

Katsucon 2017 Writeup

So Katsucon ended yesterday and I wanted to do a writeup on my first ever convention.  In short, it felt completely different from what I was used to, as if I was transported to a new world for those 2 days I was there, it was a mesmerizing and amazing experience. If you want to see all the pictures we took during the event, click here. Continue reading “Katsucon 2017 Writeup”

Shirayuki: Cute, yet Mature

I watch a ton of romance and shoujo shows, so I’m used to how they lay out.  The setting is usually a high school, the pacing of the show is usually really slow, and the ending of the show is usually really unsatisfying, ending on a cliffhanger, some sort of terrible resolution, or a Read-The-Manga ending.  The big sticking point for me is the fact that most of these shows take place in high school, which means all of the shows have the same problems concerning the setting. President Nico Nico Nii’s Top 5 Anime List

It’s been really hard for me to write blog posts lately.  I already had 3 blogs I was writing before I ultimately scrapped them.  I scrapped them not because I think that they were bad subjects or anything like that, I scrapped them because I felt annoyed by it.  There was just this irking feeling about some of the rough draft blogs I wrote, and I really don’t know why.  At the same time, it came into my mind that I should actually post things on my blog, because there really hasn’t been anything posted for a long time, and that is frustrating. How the Music in AnoHana affects our Emotions

I was a massive weeaboo going into 8th grade, so I had everything anime related; wallpaper, the way I act and speak, and of course, music. I had this phase where the only songs I would listen to would be from anime (even though I still listen to a bunch of anime songs now, most of them are orchestral or piano pieces). My favorite song at the time was “Secret Base,” the ED for AnoHana. Continue reading “How the Music in AnoHana affects our Emotions”

How “Your Lie in April” got me Back into Piano

“Having a passion for something is the first step to achieving greatness “

At around 5th grade, I started to get into piano.  I had no experience whatsoever in piano besides the fact that I tinkered around my grandmothers piano for a bit.  My parents at the time didn’t have money to enroll me in lessons, and I was too young to actually try to learn.
